Asha Kiran was intiated in 1997 by a group of dedicated people with the purpose of serving the underprivileged sections of the society. It's prime objective is to provide educational facilities through free coaching, uniforms, shoes, stationeries, food and other requirements to the students living in the slums and other such areas.
Some other acitivities of Asha Kiran
- Every morning senior citizens and children are served food at Four Bunglows, Mumbai
- Free medical aid to the sick and poor
- Well equipped mobile hospital to provide medical help to needy on the spot
- A Gowshala with over 200 cows is being managed at Murbad
- A bus owned by the trust provides free transport facility to students to reavel to and from the schools
- Street-side schools are being run at 10 different locations in Mumbai providing free education to over 1000 children
